About Doug
Throughout his 20+ years as a health care executive, Doug earned a reputation for identifying and growing talent, building effective and accountable teams, developing high trust, high performance cultures, implementing sustainable organizational change, and driving measurable improvement.
With a bachelor’s in Public Policy from Stanford University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Doug is grounded in a strong academic foundation that informs his understanding of individuals and organizations.
As a Certified Executive Coach, inclusive of training provided by the Center for Executive Coaching in accordance with standards established by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) as designated by the ICF, and a Board Certified Coach (BCC), having met the standards established by the Center for Credentialing and Education, Doug carries some of the highest credentials in the executive coaching field. He also is certified to administer leadership assessment tools, such as the Profile XT Select – a powerful assessment of behavioral traits, thinking style, and interests and how they contribute to leadership behaviors.
In addition to his work as an external coach and advisor, Doug implemented a highly successful internal coaching program, providing assessment and 1:1 executive coaching for high potential leaders across a large, health care delivery system.
Doug launched Strategic Scaffolding to combine his passion for culture building, leadership experience in highly complex organizations, academic background, and executive coaching credentials to help develop outstanding leaders and exceptional organizations.
